RidgeciderbannerGRANT, Michigan — Ridge Cider, one of Michigan’s fastest-growing hard cider producers, announced today the addition of canned ciders to its packaged lineup, debuting the new product at the Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens as well as local retail this month.

ridgeciderbottleRidge’s newest packaged cider, Berries, a tart and tangy blush of Michigan-grown strawberries and blueberries, will be available for concert-goers at the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater, a convenient way for guests to enjoy the crisp, refreshing flavor summer drink.

“Ridge customers are health-conscious and overwhelmingly active, and we want to be as boundless as they are, at the beach, the boat, on a bike ride or at a concert,” said Matt DeLong, founder of Ridge Cider. “We’re committed to creating a no-sugar-added beverage that is as portable and convenient as it is refreshing and delicious, so cans were the obvious next step.”

Beverage cans are valued for their convenience and portability. Lightweight and durable, they chill faster and are an ideal fit for active lifestyles without the risk of accidental breakage.

Beginning in May, Ridge Cider will can three hard cider varieties and distribute them to retail accounts across West Michigan:

  • Berries, made with Michigan-grown strawberries and blueberries
  • Porch Sittin’, featuring subtle hints of cinnamon and vanilla
  • Raspberry, infused with Michigan-grown fruit

Ridge uses whole apples grown locally on the Fruit Ridge, West Michigan’s legendary apple country, as the base and main ingredient for its hard ciders. The cider is then “fermented to zero,” which means that all the natural sugars are fermented into alcohol so that the beverage contains little or no sugar.

Ridge Cider products can be found in stores across Michigan.
