Picture this: it’s 2010, and three guys in Corvallis, Oregon are crammed into a two-car garage that smells like apples and ambition. Aaron Sarnoff-Wood (the idea guy), Lee Larsen (the numbers guy), and Dave Takush (the “let’s ferment literally everything” guy) decide the world needs better cider — real cider, made like the old Northwest orchard wizards used to do it, before “cider” meant sugary soda with a splash of regret.
