Healdsburg, California – California Caboose Cider announced today a new addition to its portfolio, Hold the Line, a hard cider dedicated to the firefighters and first responders who fought tirelessly to save Sonoma County during the Kincade Fires in Fall of 2019.

California Caboose Cider, a small-production hard cider company based in Healdsburg, plans to re-release Hold the Line Hard Cider each year with all proceeds going to Wine Country to the Rescue, a local charity that directly supports Northern Sonoma County firefighters. Hold the Line is a classic dry hard apple cider that joins California Caboose’s line-up of I Think I Cran, Locomotive Lime and Pineapple Express.

Paying homage to fire strike team terminology, Hold the Line, means to “not yield to the pressure of a difficult situation,” and encapsulates how firefighters held the lines of the Kincade Fire to protect Sonoma County’s homes and businesses. The Hold the Line Hard Cider label will also include the quote, “Thank you first responders for saving our community.”

“The Kincade Fire was a devastating and trying time for our community and we can’t thank the first responders enough for all their hard work to keep our community safe,” said Becky Rosales, Co-Founder and General Manager of California Caboose Cider, whose father and brother work for Cal Fire and fought the Tubbs and Kincade fire. “Releasing Hold the Line Cider, with proceeds going to such a deserving organization, is our small way of saying thank you to all of the brave first responders – we hope they enjoy this tribute to them!”

Proceeds from sales of this limited-edition cider will go directly to Wine County to the Rescue to help aid future relief and supplies needed for fire prevention, as well as a nod to the hard work and great accomplishments the strike teams had in 2019. Hold the Line by Caboose Cider plans to produce 500 cases of the 16oz. Hold the Line Hard Cider, with each can containing 6.3% ABV and an SRP of $20 per 4-pack. California Caboose Cider is available now in Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, and various locations throughout Northern California.
